Venterra Group Plc, the offshore wind energy services business, has launched Naver Energy, to support wind farm developers with project management services. Naver Energy has the immediate capacity and experience to offer these services to clients in the UK, EU, US and Asia.
Naver Energy plans to grow to over 100 people in its first years and offer services for project management, engineering management and procurement. Its differentiated delivery structure will work hand in hand with clients through the development process, with the service flexing in line with key project milestones. This approach will enable developers to accelerate project delivery while minimising at-risk development expenditure by leveraging highly experienced resources within Naver Energy.
First start-up for Venterra
Venterra was formed to create a global services champion supporting the offshore wind industry’s rapid expansion and leading role in the energy transition. It is building a service offering across the wind farm lifecycle, comprising Engineer, Build and Support services through a combination of acquisition and investment to generate accelerated growth in the fast-expanding market. To date, Venterra has acquired seven specialist member companies and Naver Energy is its first start-up venture.
Rob Jewkes, Venterra’s Chief Executive Officer, said;
“As well as making acquisitions we have always been open to creating new ventures with a compelling business case. We identified Henrik and his partners as a team able to deliver a fresh proposition in this critical area. The growing volume of new windfarms worldwide requires experienced project management skills to protect the investment developers are making in the sector.”
Strong group setup
Headquartered in Denmark, Naver Energy is launching with eight founding partners led by Henrik Stamer. The founding partners are senior executives with over 100 years of cumulative experience in the offshore wind industry.
Henrik Stamer, Naver Energy’s Managing Director, said;
“Naver’s team has the experience to help developers project manage through the critical early planning and design stage into construction. With Venterra’s backing, we are accelerating our own growth to offer clients an immediate, fully resourced service wherever projects are located. It is exciting to be part of a new group with a vision to enable offshore wind to play its part in the energy transition.’
Other Venterra Group member companies are: GDG, Osbit, FoundOcean, Balltec, Ordtek, Partrac and INSPIRE Environmental. The group holds today 450+ employees in nine countries. Accumulated track record is more than 85 GW of offshore wind experience.
